These are the rules of the forum as decided by the staff. All members must follow these rules; breaking a rule results in warning points, which can lead to a ban.
1.) Do not harass or bully any other member of the forum because of their
This includes posts on the forums, private messages, and status updates. It will result in 1 - 3 warning points depending on the severity of the event. Repeated offenses will lead to a ban. Though specific categories were posted above, harassing or bullying a member for any reason is not allowed.
2.) You are allowed to be uncomfortable with doubles and ask them to not interact with you, but do not
If you are uncomfortable with kintype doubles, put it in your tagline (include the kintype.) Harassing doubles is usually a 2-point offense. An important note: All of the staff are Homestuck kin, so if you begin to cause trouble, a double (one of us) may be forced to interact with you. However, we will try to avoid this, if possible, by asking another staff member to deal with the issue. Also, because this is an open forum, it cannot be guaranteed that you will not see doubles here, and they may post in the same thread as you. Unless they address you directly when it's clear you don't want to speak to doubles, this is not an offense. Please do not send reports in because a double is present on the forums. This is so everyone can have a safe space.
3.) On the forums, please do not post:
Depending on the content posted, you could get a warning point, several warning points, or a ban.
4.) For everyone's sake, please tag common triggers, such as:
Some gifs or videos (ones with lots of flashing, usually) can trigger epilepsy (seizures). Most of the list above is self-explanatory, but to be clear, unreality (a common trigger, yet not usually tagged) is anything that could trigger disassociation. Posts such as "this is all a dream and you're in a coma" would be an example of unreality. Surveillance is anything that could trigger paranoia, such as "you're being watched." Not tagging a trigger will only result in a warning if it happens several times or to an extreme extent.
5.) Please do not use quirks when creating posts on the forum. They are difficult to read for many people, especially people with disabilities like dyslexia. You may still use them in your journal, in private messages, and in your signature. Breaking this rule will result in a warning for the first offense. If it occurs a second time, you will receive one warning point, and so forth.
You may ask questions in the Forum Questions board.
